Pia Lo is a dance journalist who brings us stories that shape the dance world. As a Dance Ambassador for the Canadian Dance Assembly, she took a 1-year sabbatical to explore the world through dance. She has taken company class with Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow, pirouetted on the Mariinsky stage in St. Petersburg, lost 8.5 hours dancing in Berghain in Berlin, found herself in the world of Pina Bausch in Wuppertal, watched Alexander Ekman set new choreography at Nederlands Dans Theater, dressed a Chippendale, shimmied with belly dancers of The Reda Troupe in Cairo and more. She is trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop and tries new styles whenever she can. In her other life, she holds a Finance degree and works at an international bank.
