The School of Dance professional ballet programme is a nine-year course for students 8 to 16 years old. Description:
The School for the Contemporary Arts offers a Dance program in contemporary dance training, creation, and performance that is uniquely interdisciplinary, intercultural, and that caters to today’s imaginative dance artist. Each year, Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School goes in search of talented dancers to join one of three full-time professional division programs: Ballet Academic, The Anna McCowan-Johnson Aspirant, and Teacher Training Programs. Typically, auditions and master classes are held in 15 to 18 cities across Canada and the United States. Students identified as having potential for professional training are invited to attend the summer session, which acts as the second phase of the audition process.
