Arts Umbrella’s full-day, three-week International Summer Dance Intensive includes ballet, repertoire, pointe, pas de deux for advanced students, modern, contemporary, improvisation, movement exploration, coaching and conditioning.

Our Summer Intensive in NYC offers two concentrations: ballet and contemporary, with no pointe work required for the contemporary program. PAR in Dance and La Factoria Cultural de Terrassa offer an intensive summer course to improve classical dance technique. This is an ideal course for young dancers who want to develop their abilities with master ballet teachers such as Jamal Callender.
Young dancers between 15 and 22 years old will work in little groups in an intensive course from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The course will take place in LaFACT Cultural facilities from Monday to Saturday; each morning there will be classes, and each evening there will be performance training.
There are residences for foreign students available near the facilities.
The summer intensive will finish with a final gala.

The International Summer Intensive is aimed at gifted dancers 7 to 18 who are interested in pursuing professional training. Care is taken to ensure the daily schedule reflects international standards for dance education at every age. Children in this intensive are given the opportunity for exposure to the world of dance on an international platform, ensuring they are prepared and making connections in the professional community they will enter. The classical curriculum is rooted in the Vaganova method following the Bolshoi Ballet Academy’s “Methods for Teaching Classical Dance.” Students are educated not only on the technique and artistry of dance but also on their body awareness and understanding.
Dancers will be able to train throughout the summer with full-time Cadence faculty and guest faculty from around the world. These intensives act not only as a way for dancers to immerse themselves in their passion but also as an opportunity to audition and be assessed for the upcoming 2022-23 season.
Classes will be formed based on both age and level. Daily classes will consist of conditioning, classical ballet, pointe, contemporary and guest workshops.
