• Indigenous Dance Residency: a four-week intensive residency for twelve dancers of indigenous background providing technique and improvisation classes and the development of new choreographic work.

Artists-in-Residence Program

• Facilitates the creations of new works and the promotion of works among new audiences, includes studio space and technical residencies. 
• Residencies are open to collaborations with both professionals and non-professional enthusiasts, but also for teaching and creating in non-traditional contexts and environments with specific communities.

DanceLab

• Supports research and collaboration between dance artists adn other disciplines. 
• Provides two weeks of subsidized studio space. There is an informal studio presentation, open to the public, upon completion.

Doris McCarthy Artist-in-Residence Program (Scarborough, Ontario)

• Held at Fool’s Paradise, the former home and studio of artist Doris McCarthy overlooking the Scarborough Bluffs, it is a multi-disciplinary live-in residency, organized by the Ontario Heritage Trust, that is meant to demonstrate the inspirational value of the landscape and the restorative qualities of the environment.

Hatch (Toronto)

• A flexible performing arts residency centred on the procesnium stage of the 180-seat Studio Theatre at Harbourfront Centre. 
• Provides space and time in theatre, production assistance, dramaturgy, communications and technical support. 
• Residencies are usually about one week in length, in April, with applications for the following year due in June.

Heliconian Club (Toronto)

• A non-profit organization founded in 1909 to give women in the arts and letters an opportunity to meet socially and engage intellectually.
• Dance artist-in-residence has regular access to a large rehearsal space for a year.
• The position is open to female artists only.

hub14 (Toronto)

• Offers a wide range of residencies: the research hub (for early-stage works), the launchpad (for commissioned works), community chest (works with a community focus), live-in (with accommodations for up to two weeks) and the gallery series (with access to pop-up gallery space).

Mile Zero Dance (Edmonton)

• Up to three artist-in-residence positions, with use of space at Studio E.

• Selected artists are provided elite dancers, twenty-six hours of studio space and the opportunity to work alongside the Principal Companies. There are also mentorship opportunities.

Studio 303 (Montréal)

Summer Residency (July to August 2016)

• Three or four artists-in-residence receive space, technical, financial and organizational support as well as artistic mentoring.
• The program aims particularly at works in their early stages of development that are collaborative, cross-disciplinary and/or experimental.

Winter Residency (late Dec 2016 to early Jan 2017)

• An intensive residency offering rehearsal space to two local artists who already have a relationship with Studio 303.

Toronto Dance Theatre Creation Residency (Toronto)

• One- or two-week creation residencies.
• Successful applicants receive free studio space at the Winchester Street Theatre.
