The BC Touring Council gave out its annual awards on April 6th at the Pacific Contact Conference Annual Awards Dinner in Vancouver. Ballet Jörgen Canada (Toronto) won Touring Company of the Year and Ginette Ferland of Bouge de là (Montréal) won for Agent/Manager of the Year. Also nominated was Ballet Kelowna for Touring Artist/Artistic Company of the Year. Additional awards were given out in the categories of Presenter of the Year, Award for Distinguished Service and the Award for Behind the Scenes. The BC Touring Council was established in 1976 to expand touring opportunities, promote audience development and advocate for artists and presenters.
