The Dance Centre presents Danny Nielsen in The New Standards

Canadian tap dance star Danny Nielsen collaborates with renowned musician Dan Reynolds in The New Standards, a new creation which delves into the symbiotic relationship between tap dance and jazz piano. Inspired by the concept of contrafacts, where new melodies are overlaid on familiar harmonic structures, the two will co-create a performance drawing on everything from traditional and contemporary jazz to R&B, hip hop and rock.
