Tamar Ilana & Ventanas

Tamar Ilana is a Canadian singer and flamenco dancer of mixed descent who sings in multiple languages and collaborates with various artistic communities from around the world. Her childhood was spent gathering songs from small villages on the edge of the Mediterranean and dancing flamenco, and Ventanas’ band members come from across the globe. Together, they intertwine their musical cultures to create a musical world of their own, leading audiences down the less travelled paths of the Mediterranean with contemporary interpretations of ancient ballads, original compositions and new choreographies.
