Gram 383g
This is my favorite dance shoe, and has been for the past three years. I bring these shoes to a local cobbler who sands the original rubber sole and then glues on suede one, allowing me to spin and also prevent too much strain on my ankles and knees.
Stacy Adams brown dress shoes
These are my “fancier” shoes, with a leather heel for slides and tricks.
Water bottle
Keeping hydrated is a must in swing dancing! Colored opaque water bottles are also popular for the alcohol lovers.
Gum/mints or toothbrush and toothpaste
I always carry something to keep my breath fresh for those moments of close contact with a partner.
Deodorant.
Extra t-shirt
My favorite t-shirt/undershirt for dancing is from Mountain Equipment Co-op and is made of merino wool, which is naturally anti-odour and wicks moisture for a more comfortable experience.
iPhone
For reaching other dancers and also for watching dance clips on YouTube.
Moleskin and athletic tape
In case of blisters, moleskin and blister kits can save an evening or dance trip.
