DA (Diasporic African) REUNION is a 24-session adult dance series to highlight the Africanist dances and music from the African diaspora.
Coco Collective aims to amplify Black dance practices in West Toronto (Etobicoke) to support ongoing mentorship of young Black dancers and connect, newcomer, emerging, established and intergenerational dance artists together.
The sessions will aim to amplify neo-traditional, street, contemporary African/Caribbean dances in the Black dance community that are outside the commercial or concert dance and bring them into city spaces
