Mary Ellen Baldner

Mary Ellen is a graduate of McMaster University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy in 2012. Prior to this, she attended York University, graduating in 2010 with a BFA honours double major in Dance and Kinesiology. Through her background in dance, she has always had a love of movement, and physiotherapy has allowed her to continue to study how movement and exercise can decrease pain, restore function after injury, and increase quality of life at any age or activity level.

Mary Ellen has a keen interest in pursuing continuing education; since graduating, she has completed both her level 1, level 2 and level 3 certifications through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and she has passed the Intermediate Exam for that same syllabus. Mary Ellen has completed her level 1 acupuncture certification through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI). She has also had training in therapeutic taping and in the treatment of post-concussion syndrome.

Mary Ellen continues her own active lifestyle outside of the clinic. In addition to dancing, she enjoys running, pilates, hiking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, and swimming.
