Sharing Dance

National Aboriginal History Month Flash Mob By Julye Huggins

Just last week on June 5th, Canada’s National Ballet School collaborated with its community members and partners Beaumonde Heights Junior Public School and John Ross Robertson Junior Public School to celebrate National Aboriginal History Month. Organized through the Sharing Dance program of NBS, choreographer Santee Smith of the Mohawk Nation (and graduate of NBS) created a contemporary indigenous-styled flash mob to storm Nathan Phillips Square in front of Toronto’s City Hall.
