Chorus II by Sasha Kleinplatz

Sasha Kleinplatz of Wants&Needs Danse presents her work Chorus II in Montréal October 21 through 25. Presented by Danse Danse and Place des Arts, the work for seven male dancers draws from the rocking motion practised by Jewish men during prayer – transforming an ancient ritual into a cathartic gesture. Chorus II premiered last April at Arts Interculturels (generously, the full work is available to watch here) and shares the evening with Tentacle Tribe’s Emmanuelle Lê Phan et Elon Höglund and their work Nobody Likes a Pixelated Squid (see video here).
