Presented as part of the Taking Place Performance Art Series, U.K. performance artist Martin O’Brien examines the nature of fear surrounding bodies and death. O’Brien suffers from cystic fibrosis, and his practice employs physical endurance, hardship and pain-based practices to challenge common representations of illness and looks at what it means to live with a life-threatening disease.
